The honest truth about 'one-stop shopping'

The vendor who said 'this isn't our strength—here's who does it better' earned my trust for everything else. I'd rather work with a specialist who knows their limits than a generalist who overpromises. Gates is excellent at what they do. PVC nitrile foam isn't what they do. And that's fine.

So next time you're on the verge of ordering a Gates component, ask yourself: is this a hydraulic or power transmission application? Or am I reaching for a familiar brand for something a different material would handle better? The answer saves you time, money, and a potentially costly weekend call to someone like me.
